The Election Commission for the StuPa Election 2025/26 (short: Election Commission or EC) welcomes the strong interest in the Student Parliament and is pleased to announce that a total of 130 individuals have been nominated on 43 lists for the election. With 121 approved applications on 32 lists, this corresponds to a strong proportion of 2% of the student body. The election starts on Friday, June 13, 2025, at 2:00 pm via online voting (all eligible voters will receive an email), and all students have until June 20, 2025, to cast their votes. The Election Commission calls for a fair and democratic election campaign and urges a peaceful campaign where students and staff at BTU are not harassed. The laws and regulations, particularly those of BTU, must be strictly adhered to. This also means that without the approval of the Student Services, the faculties, or BTU, no flyers and posters may be distributed or displayed at the locations.
Additionally, the Election Commission would like to address current circulating rumors within the student body and BTU and clearly distance itself from them. With the confirmation of the voter list on June 10, 2025, all submitted lists for the StuPa Election 2025/26 were officially reviewed. We clarify that no list named "Campus Alternative" was submitted or included in the confirmed voter list. We welcome factual debates, especially on the topic of right-wing extremist influence at BTU, but strongly condemn the spread of rumors, particularly with local references to BTU locations, such as in this case "Senftenberg." Such dissemination without reliable sources harms democratic and free exchange and fosters prejudice. We stand against these rumors and stand site at site with the BTU for a democratic and world open Brandenburg , more details can be found at https://www.b-tu.de/news/artikel/25759-wir-zeigen-haltung-fuer-demokratie-und-zusammenhalt .
We urge all students to rely solely on official communications from the Election Commission to avoid misinformation.
