Call for applications
Studierendenwerk Ost:Brandenburg is the student services organization responsible for BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg. Many of you probably interact with them on a daily basis—after all, the dining halls on our campuses are operated by the Studierendenwerk, and the meal plans are also organized by them. Furthermore, many student housing facilities in the area are managed by the Studierendenwerk, giving it significant influence over rent prices and student housing in general. But there are also many other, perhaps less well-known services offered by the Studierendenwerk... whether it’s psychological support for students, financial aid for students in need, practice rooms in the student dorms for individual music practice, or its own daycare center in Cottbus for students with children.
As you can see, the Studierendenwerk makes a lot possible, and it can make even more possible if you contribute good ideas. From all the universities served by the Studierendenwerk, the student councils send representatives to the Studierendenwerk’s Board of Directors, where key decisions are made. BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg holds two seats on the Board of Directors as well as two alternate seats. We are still looking for additional interested individuals who would like to represent us on the Board of Directors! We are seeking candidates during the lecture period of this semester.

The application must include the following information:
- First and last name
- Degree program
- Address
- Date of birth
- Phone number and/or email address
- Signature
- Current certificate of enrollment
To verify student status, you may alternatively provide your student ID number or BTU email address.
The following may also be submitted optionally:
- Resume
- Letter of motivation
Note: Letters of motivation that are obviously generated by AI are not welcome and may be viewed negatively during the evaluation of your application.
